Friends of the BeesTogether, we can make Britain a better place for pollinators!- by discouraging the use of 'pesticides'- by creating more pollinator-friendly habitat - by planting and encouraging native, flowering plants - by encouraging beekeepers to adopt more 'nature-friendly' methods - by promoting the nurturance of native bees and discouraging imports |

Possible negative impact of honeybees on wild beesOne of our concerns is that the recent rapid increase in the number of beekeepers in the UK may be having a negative impact on wild bees, many of which share the same species of flowering plants as honeybees. This study shows that this is a valid concern, so we have some suggestions for beekeepers - both actual and potential - to help redress the balance.
